A Graveyard of Termites

Yes it looks like a graveyard with all the tombstones lined up and all precisely facing the same direction. Well no, this is not a graveyard but is a field of termite mounds all neatly lined up in a north south direction. Each termite mound is constructed such that it faces in a north south direction so that it catches a minimal amout of sun during the day and stays cooler. They are called magnetic mounds due to the fact that they are built in this particular direction.
